ME IN PAPER

I feel really good to publish my interview among those for reknowed persons of different stream like theater actress Srijana, publicity designer Swapnil, script writer and screen writer Tery and actor Pramod in ECS magazine in Nepal as an editor of Nepali Feature movie 'UMA'.


Sabina Basnet is an Editor, freelance writer, graphic designer, program coordinator, an actor and teacher. Born and raised in Nepal, Sabina holds 10+2 in Sociology and BA in Journalism. She has been recognized jointly by Jaya Multiple Campus and Ganesh Shah Hon'ble Minister for Environment, Science and Technology with appreciation award for her outstanding performance in college. Sabina worked her up as transcription and logging, as visual librarian, as an assistant editor and then become editor at Mila Productions Pvt. Ltd. She started her film career when she was 18 years old. She is mentor by renowned film director Tsering Rhitar Sherpa and Deepak Rauniyar. Tsering encouraged Sabina to find out the alternative solution rather to skip the problem, to be brave, honest and experiment with her editing. She is the second winner of "Aligning Our Vision with National Vision" from the 4mins short movie "WE". She win third prize from "On-the-spot photo competition" organized by WWF. She was volunteering in Asha Drug Rehabilitation Center, Nepal. She was also praised by Nagato Sumi from Asha Drug Rehabilitation Center for collecting the funds for their daily expenses. Her film career has been started from the documentaries "Snow Leopard" and "Beyul". "Pooja" featured movie directed by Deepak Rauniyar, is her first featured movie as an assistant editor."Aama Nepal" is her first music video as a editor. She worked with Nabin Subba in the documentary - The Long Journey and The Unknown Blessing. She also edited the music video of Late Gopal Yonjan about the political condition of Nepal. In this way in her 23 age she edited more than two dozen documentaries, five music video, three shot movies and designed the number of  DVD covers, visiting cards, Wedding cards. She is using to teach the school level students too. As a part time she is reporting for the Jaya Voice. She edited two feature movies UMA and MUKHAUTA. In  her editing career, she edited one TV-SERIAL "SINGHA DURBAR" as well.


Nowadays she is editing her own documentaries MY FUNERAL and ZANZIBARSANSIBAR. She wants to do something in the field of Drug Rehabilitation Center. She played as a beloved of drug addict in a Drama. In feature film she acted as a daughter of Banker. Her act was okay in one take in first shoot of her life. In the shooting spot and besides the spot each an everyone praise about her acting.
