Many things impressed me about Sabina including her creativity, technical knowledge,
individualism and contribution to the project, though one thing in particular struck me as I
worked with her just recently.

I know Sabina for many years before she started working with me, and interestingly, she came to work with us as a volunteer not looking for salary. Sabina wanted to learn and to master different arts related to filmmaking – especially editing. But later, of course, she became a full time team member and since then she has edited more than 20 documentary films and several feature films and a 13-part TV series “Singha Durbar” in 2015 – which was hailed as a landmark TV series in Nepal. As a producer and director with long years of experience in Nepali film industry, I came across several very talented and outstanding actors, directors and editors. But, Sabina stands out even among them.

I can vouch that she is an outstanding editor and a story teller with a keen sensitivity. It was a wonderful experience collaborating with Sabina on many projects, to which she has always added value.

I have worked with Sabina Basnet for the post-production of my documentary film, Sakhi. She edited the film together with Tsering Rhitar Sherpa. The film was screened at Toronto Nepali
Film Festival in Toronto and also in International Human Rights Film Festival in Kathmandu. The film has also been used as a tool to promote peace and reconciliation in Nepal. Sabina is professional, thorough and a good team player. I enjoyed working with her and benefited.

I met Sabina at the film editing studio of Tshering Rhitar Sherpa's Mila Production Studio. In Nepal it is rare to have a young girl editing entire films so I was impressed to see Sabina's
dexterity and dedicationat the editing console. Our band Abhaya and the Steam Injuns had been hired to do a song for the film Uma. Sabina surprised us with her versatility as she edited our music video with equal ease and skill. She makes editing look easy.

Sabina is dependable, discrete, likable, loyal, honest, and realistic in her expectations. I quite impressed with her enthusiasm and her knowledge of mobilizing volunteers in the response of earthquake disaster management in Nepal after April 2015 earthquake activities. What has been of particular interest to me as a social worker is Sabina’s ability to work with minimum supervision. After 2015 earthquake disaster in Nepal, I have worked with many different

projects, and Sabina stands head and shoulders over most, not only in demonstrated initiative, intelligence and creativity, but also in her ability to function as a productive member of a team. Her intellect is match by her ability to communicate clearly, and to project an open, friendly persona to others regardless of their, level of experience.
